HISTORY

Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Incorporated, was founded on November 8th, 1998, in Jester Basement of The University of Texas at Austin by 27 visionary women. It became America’s first women’s South Asian Greek-lettered organization. The sorority exemplifies the following eight principles that each member cherishes and lives by: Character, Leadership, Scholarship, Sisterhood, Service, Culture, Womanhood, Self. 
Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc.'s philanthropy is cancer awareness.
Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc. was recognized at Drexel University in 2009.
The 5 charters of Nu Chapter wished to carry on and teach the eight principles of Kappa Phi Gamma Sorority, Inc. to young women on their own campus and beyond.
